Pardon me if I already posted this. I have a friend, about 66, with multiple co-morbidities, who was exposed to the virus a few weeks ago and then became highly symptomatic. She wasted no time and went to her doctor same day she realized she was getting sick as she knew she was exposed. She was prescribed HCQ, Ivermectin, ZPack, Zinc, Vit D and Vit C, and submitted a test. She got on her meds that day. But it is in eastern Arkansas, and it took 3-4 days for her test to come back. It was positive.
By that time, she was already well on the way to recovery. And now she is recovered.
It occurred to me this (far in the country) doctor was on top of the situation. Actually diagnosing the situation without the test, knowing that if he waited on the test result, it might well be too late to keep her out of the hospital. And he laid it on thick, probably having given HCQ and Ivermectin a thousand times out there.
On another Facebook thread today, someone I didn't know commented she was taking Ivermectin and had been for months prophylactically. I told her I didn't know that was a "thing".
She said, "No big deal. I get it at Tractor Supply!"
