Highlights of the News

Kamala "Fweedom" Harris said she backs West Virginia reclaiming land mines. A reader asked me if I was going to reclaim any land mines. No. I like having 5 digits on each hand and each foot.

I think she meant reclaimed mine land.

ITEM 1: Breitbart reported, "Karl Rove on Monday said he has known about Lincoln Project co-founder John Weaver’s pattern of behavior since 1988 following a bombshell report in which Weaver was accused of sending unwanted sexually explicit messages to nearly two dozen young men."

Lincoln Project personalities now say they are shocked -- shocked -- to learn that he hit on men.

ITEM 2: Biz Pac Review reported, "On air, retiring CNN boss tells Brian Stelter he needs ‘responsible voices from right of center on show.’ "

No, it was not Jeff Zucker who runs CNN, but Rick Davis, its veep of standards and practices.

And by responsible conservatives, he means the Lincoln Project crowd.

You know, the people who didn't realize John Weaver was hitting on them.

ITEM 3: Gateway Pundit reported, "Former U.S. Solicitor General and Independent Counsel Ken Starr said the senate is without jurisdiction to try private citizen Donald Trump."

Duh.

And kudos for Starr for speaking truth to hysteria. He's the expert on impeachments.

ITEM 4: Robinhood announced it "raised $3.4 billion to continue to invest in record customer growth, including $1 billion in funding announced on January 29. This funding is a strong sign of confidence from investors and will help us build for the future and continue to serve people through the exponential growth we’ve seen this year."

This helps any reader who wants to take the Cristy Lane approach to investing: one share at a time...

After its GameStop fiasco, I doubt that customer growth will be a problem.

ITEM 5: The New York Post reported, "The Pennsylvania secretary of state who emerged as a villain to supporters of former President Donald Trump said Monday she will resign for failing to comply with an unrelated state election law.

"Kathy Boockvar, a Democrat, will leave office on Feb. 5. Her office botched the handling of a state constitutional amendment that would allow more sexual abuse victims to sue their alleged abusers."

How terrible is Frau Boockvar (horse whinny)?

The story said, "Pennsylvania law requires that proposed amendments pass the state legislature twice. The secretary of state’s office must publicize the proposed amendment in two newspapers in each of the state’s 67 counties ahead of the election between votes, which her office failed to do."

She was too busy breaking the law to get Chairman Xiden elected to do her job.

ITEM 6: The Washington Free Beacon reported, "The State Department’s newly installed deputy spokesperson, Jalina Porter, said in a 2016 Facebook post that the largest threat to U.S. national security are U.S cops, according to a screenshot of the post obtained by the Washington Free Beacon."

According to the story, Porter wrote, "The largest threat to U.S. national security are U.S. cops. Not ISIS, not Russian hackers, not anyone or anything else."

This is mainstream Democrat thinking.

ITEM 7: Out Front reported, "The Biden administration is off to a hopeful start, as Secretary of State nominee, Antony Blinken, has confirmed a recommitment to LGBTQ rights."

President Trump had a better commitment to LGBTQ rights. He appointed our first gay ambassador, Ric Grenell, who went on to prove he was as good as anyone. Actually, he was better than most.

But hey, wave your gay flag and act as if LGBTQ rights matter more than getting Germany to accept the Nazi we deported, which Grenell did breaking an 18-year stalemate.

Heck, I would vote for him for president.

ITEM 8: Just the News reported, "GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger, who voted to impeach former President Trump, is now starting an anti-Trump PAC to fight against the former president's influence over the party."

95% of Republicans support The Donald.

Kinzinger and Evan McMullin can sit on the Island of Misfits with the Charlie-in-the-Box.

ITEM 9: Reuters reported, "U.S. voting rights activist and Democrat Party politician Stacey Abrams has been nominated for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize for her work to promote nonviolent change via the ballot box, a Norwegian lawmaker said on Monday.

She refused to accept the results of an election in Georgia.

That makes Donald Trump a voting rights activist, too.

ITEM 10: Washington Post reported, "Myanmar coup is a test for Biden and the U.S. role as a champion of democracy."

Jeff Bezos is excited. He may get his war.

I am not predicting World War 3. Far from it. It will be another Vietnam Junior, like Afghanistan.

ITEM 11: The Guardian reported, "US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) is preparing to resume deportations of asylum seekers after a Trump-appointed Texas judge ruled against a 100-day suspension ordered by Joe Biden."

Turnabout is fair play.

Obama judges tied up President Trump's administration with bizarre rulings the press cheered.

And the Supreme Court overturned.

ITEM 12: The Hill reported, "Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Monday blasted Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s embrace of 'loony lies and conspiracy theories' as a 'cancer for the Republican Party.”

" 'Somebody who’s suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.’s airplane is not living in reality,' McConnell said in a statement first shared with The Hill. 'This has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on substance that can strengthen our party.'

"McConnell didn't mention Greene by name in his three-sentence statement, but his rare, scathing remarks about a freshman GOP lawmaker from the other chamber suggests he recognizes the potential damage her violent rhetoric and bizarre conspiracy theories could inflict on congressional Republicans as they try to take back both the House and Senate in next year’s midterms."

The real cancer on both parties is lifer senators who serve the swamp.

She can resign right after every congressman who pushed the Russian conspiracy hoax resigns.

ITEM 13: The Daily Beast reported, "If you’re a reporter with a tough question for the White House press secretary, Joe Biden’s staff wouldn’t mind knowing about it in advance.

"According to three sources with knowledge of the matter, as well as written communications reviewed by The Daily Beast, the new president’s communications staff have already on occasion probed reporters to see what questions they plan on asking new White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki when called upon during briefings.

"The requests prompted concerns among the White House press corps, whose members, like many reporters, are sensitive to the perception that they are coordinating with political communications staffers."

They are "sensitive to the perception" because they want to pretend they are independent of Democrats -- after 4 years of carrying their water by the barrel.

ITEM 14: The New York Post reported, "The Capitol police officer who shot a woman attempting to breach the speaker’s lobby during the Capitol Hill riot is reportedly not likely to face charges after a preliminary decision by investigators in the case.

"The officer, who has not been named, had been placed on leave after the Jan. 6 riot while an investigation took place into whether rioter Ashli Babbitt’s civil rights were violated, according to The Wall Street Journal."

The word unarmed does not appear in the 10-paragraph story. The New York Times and other outlets also failed to call her unarmed.

ITEM 15: CNBC reported, "People who follow health guidelines have a higher chance of contracting coronavirus when visiting a restaurant than riding an elevator, Otis Worldwide CEO Judy Marks told CNBC’s Jim Cramer Monday."

Otis as in the elevator.

No bias there.

FINALLY, I think Seth Meyers would be perfect for the Netflix mini-series on Chairman Xiden, "Lost In The White House."
