4 or 5 hours short of a week.; a long time. My fridge didn't run very long when power came on, so I finally summoned up the nerve to look. I haven't tried the milk, but, on Thurs. AM, I put the milk and butter on snow in the fridge. and put the largest pot of the other kind that I have on top of the freezer, and kept the house as cold as it could get, without opening doors. I think it worked; the containers of water I use for thermal mass were still half ice.

Things I learned:
When the power goes off, it's easier to keep things frozen for a week when there is snow on the deck than it is to do it for 4 days at the end of summer, when they shut it down for high winds.
