I put WCLX back into my ira a couple weeks ago. I live in Wisconsin
and learned that last week the CN took its trains off the BN from
Superior WI to Chicago and onto the WC which runs the shortest route.
They already ran a couple CN trains. WC is busily adding passing sidings and is going to double track from Fond du Lac to Chicago
or come pretty darn close to it. I see this as a NAFTA route that
will eventually be bought out by a bigger player.

I also bought some CP. CP's also done some extensive infrastructural
work in the past years and has one of the most aggressive locomotive replacement programs in north america. The stock has been a dog for a long time but I'm hoping my gut feeling pays off. It's jumped 2-3 points in the last couple weeks, some targetting 38 by late summer.

WC does have some labor issues to deal with yet. Seems their President Burkhardt was better in dealing with the employees than McCrarren or whatever his name is, and since Ed started dealing more overseas with New Zealand and the Royal Mail the stateside has gone union from managements inflexibility with the workers.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to gains in both of these companies. I think WCLX may be a slightly slower mover that its surges ahead in
past years, but I feel relatively safer investing in it than some
other areas of the market.

But who says I know anything....
