Here's one part ... We've had to deal with stock manipulation from a greedy group of "shorts". Now, I'm not a fan of "shorts". I don't hide that. But, as much as I don't like it ... they're in a business, making a buck. If you trade on NASDAQ, it's the nature of the beast, and you just have to accept it. But, some are worse, and more greedy than others!!
On the AOL thead, there was a "Kumacap" (Ivan Lustig), part of a group of "shorts" going on different stock threads, mis-representing facts, and just out-and-out lying. He and some of his cronies are getting sued by one of the companies, Presstek (digital imaging, New Hamphsire). And, IMHO, they deserve to be sued!

He was on TPRO (on AOL Motley Fool) spreading dis-information. He'd push people to the limit, until they'd snap and react. He baited people. You'd have some "regulars" who are usually pretty quiet, logical guys ... get p*ssed and react. Then this "Kumacap" would report them to AOL. Just like a bully in a schoolyard. But then, the "good" guys would get reprimended and punished, while these jerks would continue to, very smoothly, spread dis-information and doubt.
I'm very angry about what I've seen. I've wanted to react and respond SO much ... but, I didn't want to bring myself down to "their" level. If I did, it meant "they" won. UNTIL ... they got sued and finally got cut off.
These guys spread the following unfounded rumors about Presstek, and hid behind their internet monikers, saying: 1) Company was subject of grand-jury investigation 2) It would lose money in a quarter when it actually made money 3) Auditor was about to resign over revenue-recognition issues
These guys are pretty smooth .... "Anything I've posted, if it wasn't fact, I feel certain it was stated as opinion." They'll make a statement, and skirt around it a bit ... they do an IMO or IMHO without actually using those words. Unfortunately, naive investors listened to and believed what these guys said. Usually selling at a low, cause they were scared.
For fans of NYPD BLUE ... They do the "Good Cop" - "Bad Cop" routine. They come in meekly, with positive comments or naive questions and stroke some people on the thread, to gain their trust. Then, usually within 2-3 days, they start attacking the company and raise doubts.
We have someone in our midst, who I've been tracking from thread-to-thread for the past few months, who ... if he's not part of this group ... he comes from the same gene pool.
I know who you are. And, you know, I know. I didn't expect for you to come back ... but, you did.
You better watch your next move. I will wait for that moment to pounce, with what I have .... if I'm pushed. I feel like David fighting against Goliath. But, I willl fight .... It's a matter of principle.
May not make one d*mn bit of difference on stock price. But, at least I know I tried.
I'm tired of these games. WHEW ... I feel a lot better.
