I've heard allegations coming from Pelosi and claims that 100s of cops were injured, which is a blatant lie.

The union said 140 or somewhere around that number. Can't recall if that was just the Capitol cops or if it included the metro cops. Anyway, I imagine Pelosi got her number from them. They are probably counting all injuries, not just serious ones. OTJ injuries are typically all counted. Bureaucratic requirement.

I am in no way suggesting that Ashli in any way threatened or injured a cop.

Nor am I.

I'd be particularly interested in evidence that Trump supporters were engaged in something other than peaceful protests.

Are you suggesting that none of those who entered the Capitol were Trump supporters? If you are, there's this proverbial bridge for sale...

I will grant you that there were lots and lots of Trump supporters outside the Capitol. And some/many/most of them were peaceful.

The comments I have posted here have pertained to those who entered the building. And mostly those who were forceful about it rather than in the public areas loitering or gawking like tourists. I have no issue with the ordinary demonstrators outside. Other than letting themselves be pawns, which is a function of gullibility on their parts, a very human failing.
