DAKOTA RESOURCES LIMITED (DAK ASE)

Could 1998 be the year of Dakota Resources???

Over the last 8-12 months Dakota has undergone several fundamental changes.
The company is removing itself from mining and is focusing in on new
profitable opportunites.

Dakota is acquiring a Calgary based company called Fastway Exploration.
This is a private held seismic company that has been in business for about
12 years. Revenues for this company are at about $8 million a year and
should grow by 20% this year. Fastway alone should bring in earnings of 4
cents per share.

Dakota has also signed a letter of intent with another company called GL
Fabrications. It is an oil field fabrication company and compliments the
Fastway acquisition. GL's revenues could top 6 million dollars this year
adding to DAK's earnings.

Potential earnings for Dakota this year could reach 7- 9 cents per share.
Trading at 15 times earnings at 9 cents per share could equal $1.35 per
share. Even after giving it a 30% discount (due to uncertain market
conditions) we're still looking at 95 cents per share.

Credit has to be given to Richard LeBlanc who has helped turn Dakota around
and has given it new direction and purpose. Dakota is turning into real
company with solid assets, and may provide good up side potential in the
mid to long term.
