What I'm suggesting is that I don't know, but neither do you. Because there has been no open investigation.

You are correct that we will be on firmer ground after it's all been investigated. In the meantime, we work with what we have. But even after the dust has settled and any investigations have been completed, there are people who won't believe them, just like you didn't believe the Mueller report. You would probably have to personally inspect the three rotting fingers that one cop has been said to have lost and even then you'd doubt.

I saw someone on TV recently using the phrase "receptive to reason" to differentiate those living in that Trumpian alternate universe who could potentially be brought back to the real world as opposed to those who were lost forever. The notion resonated with me.
