Paul, you wrote:

Where is your "CERTAINTY" on this matter?"

Maybe you should refresh your memory by rereading (reading?) the CyberMax press release. biz.yahoo.com

It states: "AMD has informed CyberMax that because of contracts recently signed with Compaq and IBM we would not be getting .25 micron mobile CPU's until the second quarter of this year. All of their production yields will be needed to satisfy the contracts with both of those companies."

How is this uncertain to you? CyberMax seems to have accepted it.

Paul, if CyberMax wanted to build a notebook computer around a Pentium MMX they'd do it. Notice that they don't, and apparently have no plans to do so. There are too many big manufacturers building those products, probably much more efficiently than CyberMax is capable of. The unfortunate part of the whole situation is that while CyberMax would have built a high end notebook, Compaq is building a low end one.
