Some interesting info - one of our fellow posters was actually able to get through to the author (C. Siskos) who wrote a 2-3 paragraph column in the January issue of Kiplinger magazine that recommended CHKPF as a firewall stock to buy. When asked by our poster why CYBG wasn't mentioned this was his email reply:

You recently inquired why Cyberguard wasn't mentioned in the January article about stocks in the computer security sector. The analysts I interviewed for the article didn't include Cyberguard as one of their top picks but did recommend a competitor, Check Point, which also specializes in firewalls. Check Point was recommended over Cyberguard because it commands the largest share of the firewall market internationally and because, in the long run, it was considered more likely to take over its competitors or to become a takeover target itself. Either occurrence would boost the value of its stock. Essentially, analysts were betting on which of these companies would become the next Intel, but the entire sector, as recent prices have proved, is highly volatile.
---------------------------------------
My take: there have only been three stocks in the last decade like Intel: Intel, Microsoft and Cisco. I pity the analyst looking for the next one - what are the odds? I don't believe CHKPF will ever become another Intel - I believe this industry will get over-run by new technology by then. However, for the next 1-2 years we'll be safe. I don't believe CYBG will become another CHKPF, but give me 1/3 of their market cap and we will have hit my 35-40 per share target price and I will have been long gone with mondo $$ in my account. Next stop, Peoplesoft software.

More info from the CHKPG thread:
Go to nasdaqtrader.com , click on Trading Data and enter stock symbol. This gives a good indication which MM's have a large stake in any particular stock.
Take a look at CYBG - interesting stuff. Tim, how should we interpret this data??
