Hi Phil : will uncertainty spark rumors and help sell Power's stock ?

All of AAPL's recent EDGARs have changed . The Power deal , AAPL's board's stock proxy and AAPL's annual meeting was moved from 2/3/98 to 2/20/98 (post 7862, 7864) and is now "unscheduled" .

Looking back at 11/10/97 and 1/6/98's "rumors" it looks like the above will cause buying and folks may get caught again . There has been steady buying (18-18.65) but also possible manipulation (600k trade) .

MSFT could accept Claris for its $150 mln resticted shares , or IBM could supply servers , but we know Power has $100 mln AAPL shares they can sell .

Did RFI , after floating all that wild speculation , re-issue a buy on AAPL ? If so , is RFI covering a earlier failed buy ?

I have held AAPL (4 years) and have added to average down . Now I will only buy at < $18 , or if I can detect more earnest accumulation .

Notice of a proxy should be filed with the SEC 15 days in advance of finalization . Power's new sale terms may have changed the 2/3/98 proxy .

Regards,
Jim K.
