This is ignorant and wrong. SSD's already win in just about every other dimension than cost, and the cloud titans have been gradually overhauling their software infrastructure to take advantage of the performance capability of SSD's for a long time. If HDD's lose their cost/bit advantage they will go the way of the Dodo.
