I think that is bullshit.

But I have always thought Chait was a light weight and usually half a bubble off.

When Obama came into office he had a better congress, and better approval than Biden, and he could have done pretty much anything he wanted, but he was blinded by his desire for bipartisanship.

If he had used the full power he had coming in he could have done much more than Biden, in fact damn near anything he wanted.

People were so happy to have him after Bush and they liked him, a lot, and he thought he could pull the country together, so his desire for bipartisanship took priority over everything.

And it was a tragic mistake, over the next eight years the dems lost 1,000 statewide seats and both houses of congress because we did not deliver, because of the Republicans e.g. when he put guys like senator Mike Enzi, of Wyoming on is health committee. Enzi told people he was there only to slow things down.

I don't blame Obama he had a great vision, but he was young and naive,

He said in his memoire his biggest failure was his inability to bring people together.

Biden is fully aware of that mistake and does not intend to repeat it.

His roll out has been near perfect.
