Sean Hannity melts down
Bill Palmer | 3:00 pm EST February 8, 2021 Palmer Report » Analysis

Things are falling to pieces over at Fox News. They just had to fire Lou Dobbs because he’d become a huge financial liability. That’s a problem because Dobbs was actually one of the highest rated shows on Fox Business Channel, at a time when Fox is hemorrhaging viewers across the board. That brings us to Sean Hannity.

Right now Hannity is ranting and raving on his personal website about how CNN’s ratings have dropped since Trump left office. That may be the case, but what Hannity is leaving out is that his own ratings have fallen off a cliff. In fact Hannity is now getting blown out by Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC show each night.

No wonder Hannity is melting down. Fox News is suffering from a huge ratings drop as it loses viewers to even worse cable news propaganda channels, which directly translates to a huge revenue drop. Hannity’s ratings are higher than most Fox News hosts, but he’s expensive. And now he’s losing his time slot badly to Maddow. We don’t think Hannity is getting laid off any time soon, but he’s currently on a terrible ratings trajectory that could eventually spell real trouble for him down the line if it continues.
