where do the Asian's get their idea's on Blacks?

It is my understanding that the peoples of Thailand and Vietnam had problems with the people of Indonesia dating from pre-colonial times. There was a perception of "head hunters" concerning the darker skinned island peoples. There was always a push for to move south and the groups came into conflict.
