Generally... it has you offering that the solution to the problems resulting from prior failed efforts in imposing controls... is to have the same people who already screwed things up... impose even more controls... to fix the problems their prior controls created. Rube Goldberg... applied to government. Larry Summer wants to put tens of thousands of people out of work... as part of a plan to make energy cost twice as much... while also requiring we buy our energy from outside the country... so his friends can carve out a big takeout for themselves from the new higher priced option ? And he promises that doing that means there will be new jobs available in the "new energy" economy... to replace all those jobs lost... even though there will, by definition, be a lot less money to make jobs available ? Still, all we have to do under his plan is take a 35 year old oil field roughneck... and retrain him... teaching him how to manufacture solar panels... and then teaching him how to have been born in Indonesia... where the solar panels will be manufactured ? Just STOP... Those idiots have ZERO ability to direct the economy and have it make sense... in anything other than ensuring their corruption pays off for them... and they don't CARE what impact it has on others... as long as you remain blindly willing to believe that what they're proposing is "for the good"... instead of "for themselves". Everything they do... is corrupt. Everything they do... makes things worse for everyone else... except them. Government "control" imposed over the choices made by people who do know what they're doing... by people who don't... but who know how to profit from imposing that control... is the one thing in which "less is more" is almost always true...
