I think I would get the vaccine in the same time frame in either province.
Alberta has identified Essential Workers in their Phase 2.
My wife is an Essential Worker and a Health Care worker, she is in Phase 2 as well.
The vaccine calculator says she will be vaccinated months before I will, both still in phase 2 though.
I see in BC they have not categorized Essential workers but they did say this;
<<Note: Once additional vaccines are approved and become available, people between the ages
of 18 and 64 who are front-line essential workers or work in specific workplaces or industries may
be included in the later part of Phase 3.>>


I visit about twenty or thirty homes every week and work in the homes for extended periods.
I try to use all precautions and I do understand that I am playing roulette, I am in my sixties.
I have to make a living though and that is how I do it so I carry on and hope for the best.
I am very thankful that I live in a coronavirus bubble but local tragedies are a stark reminder of the danger.
A local couple about our age are hospitalized, he has been intubated for 3 weeks, all because of one visit.
He went to visit his father in a long term care home and got infected while there.
He bought the virus home and both he and his wife ended up in the ICU.
The vaccines are a great bright spot ahead, but the darkness still surrounds us today. I hope you stay safe.
