The senate has no jurisdiction to try him. If he was still president, yes of course. But he is a private citizen now like you and me, and is subject to justice in the courts, like you and me, not in the senate. A president's actions while president are not exempt from the criminal justice system after he leaves office, as you erroneously seem to believe.
