| | | Well, I'd like to say that I disagree with you, but as I can also read between your lines, matters are more complicated than that. Any incumbent president hit by the Chicom virus with the re-election coming up would - IMHO - have lost. A god-given opportunity for the democrat opposition party!
Could and/or should he have played his cards better in that position? Possibly, had he been a full-blown politician, he probably had known how to and done so. But as you do know, his background is way out of the deep swamp back home and in DC. 'Deep Swamp', yes and a perfect and contemporary name minted by Trump. Before that and up to and incl. Johnson we had the Ni.... and the J... only, all out witted with and by time.
GOP gone? Very possible, but I am not so sure the democrats stand any butter. The Party of the Pelosis and Schumers, most recently the Feinsteins and now, looking forward the Bernies (?) and the Harris-es, I don't know. In general I have the feeling, that the whole political incumbent theatre and the Deep Swampers performing at it have run out of time, their time. The US is big enough - or should at least be - to attract enough gifted men and women to show the way and do a much better job leading us into a future of action as opposed to BS talking with no true and wise action to go. |
