Bill (or should I say Mr. Jackson, I usually save Bill for you-know-who), as a, shall we say, avid follower of antitrust news, I'd say a "split" in that sense is at best a long, long way off. Pretty improbable, unless it's voluntary. And I don't expect the other Bill to volunteer any time soon.
The thing to watch for is what happens after the appeal on the current matter. If the appeal goes in Microsoft's favor, which it may, watch for a broader antitrust action to be filed. If it goes against Microsoft, we'll see what the Special Master has to say. Things will be quite for a couple months, leaving the field free for "Kinder, Gentler II: Bill sings!" for a while. It's just an intermission, though.
