I'm a little concerned re ALTR. I still don't have a handle on
whether XLNX's slip up was isolated or slowing demand or price
erosion.

Further, although I strongly believe that if XLNX momentary
stumle was essentially internal problems, that ALTR would likely be
the biggest beneficiary. But I wonder...I also have a position in
LSCC and have recently gotten research from Bear, CJ Lawerence,
Ragen Mac & UBS and wonder if the big winner this past quarter
might not be LSCC.

I have some handsome gains in ALTR and have no intention of selling
all of it, but I am taking my profits out of ALTR and moving them into
LSCC tomorrow. I think I will sleep a little better. LSCC only has
50% of revenues in CPLD's and the other half in the low end segment.
Therefore, if XLNX's problms are related to weak industry demand, at
least LSCC won't be hit as hard. Further, LSCC has a much lower
valuation than ALTR. I believe LSCC will also benefit from P/E
expansion to = XLNX & ALTR one their product mix becomes more similar.
