Unsurprisingly, Putin blames anti-government protests on the West, which he says is exploiting popular discontent in Russia. Falling wages and unemployment are just a side-effect of the pandemic and people shouldn’t blame him.

At least he isn’t blaming Antifa, not yet. It’s always a case of diverting attention from what is really happening and Russia is a big country with room to conceal.
