Daniel, I suspect they are just now coming to grips with the idea of a software monopoly. Rememeber when IBM only rented software?, yep, you paid each year a new fee, and you were not permitted to run it on anothers mainframe, a competition killer. The the DOJ forced them to sell it outright. Same with mainframes. IBM used to rent them only.
And thus was born DEC, Ahmdal and others in the ensuing years.

We now have a parallel unique situation. A de facto monopoly, because we all choose to use the only OS that all the Apps are writ for. And the OS write keeps enterin new APP markets, cross subsidizng ??.

Thats the red flag. Profits from one used to enter another at a loss for however long it takes, with predatory pricing(give away IE4) forcing the compettion ti give their away as well.
Solid proof.

We live in intersting times.

Bill
