Here is an eleven minute video by ARK Invest which expands on their recent AI and robotics report (which I can send to anyone who wants it - just send me your e-mail address via private message). In particular, it discusses two projects by Google's DeepMind subsidiary: AlphaGo where a computer AI program beat the world champion at the ancient game of Go, a task vastly more complicated than IBM's Watson computer AI beat the world champion in chess, and AlphaFold where a computer AI program modelled protein DNA folding. It also discusses a project by OpenAI, where a computerized AI and robotic arm taught itself to solve the Rubic's Cube.
