Worth noting: Molycorp - now named MP Materials - has risen from the ashes. Those who've been here a while might remember I was not a big fan of MCP management... and predicted their failure BEFORE the company had even been re-launched... before it began its rise from pennyland to the NYSE leaderboard... and as it failed, for reasons I'd pointed out, that didn't change at all when they took in hundreds of millions in investors money... before imploding dramatically and burning a billion in OPM capital. The new operation will benefit from that excessive and uncontrolled spending by prior management... but the value left behind that appends to the new shares will never be what it was supposed to be ? I've not poked at the new operation... to see who it is... and if it is different this time... whether it is capable of avoiding the issues that doomed it last time, out of the box, or if this is the same ole crowd doing the same ole thing... when the timing seems it might be right... to find a new generation of investors to fleece... Not the only ones doing that, now... if that's what it is... And, again, I don't know yet... But, I will look...
