they'll be here real soon

Since your reply, I looked for a Level II mention in the updated pages: if its there I didn't find it. I also looked in the "classic" pages: they are gone.

Last I saw, Datek was saying Q1 1998 for Level II. I thought there was more to it than just a trial balloon, but that was just my own interpretation. With other brokers increasingly offering Level II, (WebStreet, Cybertrader, CastleOnline) and Datek having been teasing the concept for around a year, I have been expecting them to eventually deliver in spite of the fluid target dates.

While I indeed look forward to affordable Level II coupled with affordable quick execution from Datek, I have no inside info, no special promise and no strong reason to expect the Q1 98 Datek-offered (but now withdrawn?) date to be met. My comment is best interpreted as 'encouragement' for Datek to deliver the promised Level II. For the time being, I'll just enjoy the added convenience of checks. Cheers!

P.S. Maybe if you also 'encouraged' them ...
