Yeah, I think it is a smart move as well. My impression was that Ira did not want to get into all the details of the business with shareholders which is certainly understandable. His feeling is that the shareholders should be basically concerned about the profits and not every little aspect of profit margins for each part of the business. It sounded to me like he was thinking along possible mini-conglomerate lines.
