It seems, Texas requested an OK to temporarily increase energy output due to the cold wave, but the DoE refused - out of concern for green regulations. People lost their lives because of that.

.......well.......assuming this is true and the electricity output could have been increased safely to meet the extraordinary need, the DoE was wrong and the Gov was wrong not to have ignored them.............ANYONE could have predicted the deadly outcome of prolonged near zero temperatures and a loss of electricity over widespread areas
