I would be leery of the ones that trade to large premiums pre deal. Maybe if someone has a great track record it is warranted. I thought part of the selling point of a SPAC is to bring it to market closer to fair value than an IPO in which the company often leaves a lot of capital on the table. Also its popular to throw around terms like "democratizing the process" which implies that small investors get greater access. However, who knows where this will trade in 6 months or 18 months but it feels more like it is worth $15 or $20 (right now) based on PIPE transaction.
