Thanks for the follow-up posts. For some reason I'm getting error messages and haven't been able to track the full articles.

I think you're right that the larger the smuggling operations, the less real impact (other than the mighty psychological) we're likely to have from raising the UN limits on Iraqi oil sales. Of course, the drillers have been selling off largely on those psychological perceptions anyway.
