The weight concern is true of those that need to use it on their lap, or on the go. I always steered to how much horsepower can I pack in this shell! If I'm staying at a place for a week or a month, I prefer to have a tank of a laptop workstation at my disposal. The rest can be done with cheap tablets, cheap smartphones, local sim cards, etc. Of course every traveler is different.
