yes, we know the alpha was sold.
but dec gets cheap 64 bit chips out of the law suit they won with
intel.
of course dec got allot of money yet to come on the sell.
i don't think the sec will cancel the sell of alpha to intel..
but if they did cpq said they will keep alpha.
I hope the deal is approved.
but, the dec discounted 64 bit chips from intel as part of settlement is a coup for cpq and will lower their cost tremendously during the ramp up.
