Randy, As far as the distribution deal with GTIS, i do
find it odd, but maybe it's MPRS way of getting out of
the merger?.
All of the games companys, ATVI,ERTS,TTWO,GTIS, have
bought the distribution companys. ATVI just bought
2 european ones last qtr.MPRS is in no position to
buy any (if there are even any left), at this time.
I've always found their games though, i check the
stores all the time, i can walk into a Target, Walmart,
and all the Bestbuys etc and find their games. I never see
them in Sams Club or Costco though, ATVI, ERTS, and
CUC, have the shelfs taken there.
Is it going to hurt the company?, hard to say at this
point, were already in the dog house. Is there a reason
all the other companys are buying the distribution
companys?, you bet there is, shelf space, improved
margins,etc. Will the GTIS deal work?, i think so,
GTIS has a good network, they are still a profitable
company, and MPRS will pay them to get the games out.
We will have to wait for the 10Q, to get some
answers to the questions that are being asked.
