best collectibles are memories, they go where we go, like bitcoins, and unlike gold.
For memories-sake I wanted a specific Simpson coin that fit the moment 2020, and I wanted some to mark the copybook for our sojourn to S Africa, and the Reserve Bank shops at the time had no inventory of 2020 mintage, as the mines to mint supply chain was CoVid-ed. Have both asks filled.
I estimate that 99% of the donuts I ever had in life was consumed in the 5 months in S Africa. Had only done one donut before S Africa. Have not had a single one since. Great American invention.
I like the ones without the colourful sprinkles, for they are completely covered by, and have embedded chocolate !
I think I know how I might want to go through the end-of-days watch & brief
You can well imagine the discipline exercised by the coconut during the hard lockdown,
(i) she kept up w/ her ballet, studies, college entrance exam testings, auditions (for summer intensives we could not possibly get to last and coming summer), and
(ii) she rounded up monies in asia to help feed 500+ families in a township from 26th March through 1st July lockdown, and buy data time for whatever zoom the kids had to do
(iii) and she did donuts, albeit in moderate portion, unlike the jack and I, who really got into the end-of-world feel
the coconut has written down her impressions of the time to mark the memory bank, and now revisiting to fill in the gaps by reflection. Believe the time was good for both kids.
Message 32871062 gold coin about donut, grand unified singularity where gold and donuts meet in a silly coin befitting the time
I suppose good that the coconut did not have a lot of donuts, as the Jack and I tried our very best to save her from the donuts. pic taken at the end of our extended journey, when we abandoned our immigration exploration, when we knew for pretty sure that we shall be able to return to Hong Kong even if only by way of Canada. Thinking back, there were certainly risks, but all considered, worth the experience.
