Some nations have a large underground / under table / invisible economic sector, and would be suicidal for such economies (Russia, India, Nigeria, Italy, maybe China) to remove all on- / off-ramps for the dark sectors that previously dealt in cash, as cratering of the dark economic sectors would strongly affect the overall economy.

The only trusted monies for the dark economy would be cash, and in the absence of cash, then near-cash.

BTC is necessary, and no other crypto will do, as far as i understand (which might not be much) given the features necessary.

Let’s see what happens in India. Am guessing BTC shall become more popular in India. Lot easier smuggling BTC by mind than to move gold in body.
