Hi Bull,

I have some preferred shares that yield 4.0% to 6.625%.

All are not callable for 5-6 years. I thought I'd set them up to insure I had enough funds to pay my real estate taxes in future years. Getting of the age where proper planning will make my wife's life easy, if I should not make the duration. gulp.

Any way I'm new to the fixed income plan, so pardon a newbies question. If the 30 year drops to that low price as yields go up, do qualified dividends / yields get hurt? OR, are they safe as long as the yield on Treasuries does not surpass the yield on the qualified dividends.

I know that is a $64.00 question, but after all your name is BULL RIDAH! LOL
