Hard to jive the “shortages across the entire semiconductor supply chain” with rising DRAM prices.

One would think DRAM is better supplied than the weakest link item, so......what’s the point of paying up for scarce DRAM if you can’t build the final product / device due to shortages elsewhere in the supply chain? Perhaps rising DRAM prices are a sign that the semiconductor supply shortages are loosening, so makers ar3efinally able to build enough to meet demand? Otherwise, why pay up for a device you cannot complete for an extended period?
