Crude Oil: Global demand won't hit pre-virus level until 2023, IEA says

At least that’s the base case in today’s forecast from the International Energy Agency, which sees demand inching up every year through at least 2026, thanks almost entirely to consumption in Asia. The IEA, however, very much has its eye on the transition to cleaner energy sources, and says that a more aggressive push in that direction could in fact mean demand has already peaked and will never return to pre-pandemic levels.
