Hello everyone. I just wanted to drop by and mention something that happened to my family recently. One of us fell ill with stomach symptoms. It didn't seem like COVID-19, given that it's a respiratory illness and not something that is related to stomach problems, but we didn't want to leave anything to assumption, so we got a rapid result test. Guess what? That test came out POSITIVE. Now we're going NUTS quarantining and contacting anyone and everyone we've ever been in close contact with. Those everyone wears masks around people not in our immediate family, it doesn't matter. They need to know. Meanwhile we immediately have everyone tested with the normal test, the kind that takes 1-3 days for results to come back. This is because the rapid-result test has a 20% false positive rating, so we needed to make sure. Guess what? Those tests came out NEGATIVE. We flipped our whole lives upside-down over a false positive test. Just a warning to those who want to get tested by the rapid-result test. Tenchusatsu
