Neil,

The news came out after market close (about Boeing) and there's no analyst firm that does this. I'm it!. That's why I went into business 2 years ago.
Thanks for doing the math. It's hard to say how much of that 6.63 billion in engines (that's incredible) RMI will get a peice of but it will be a significant amount of work for them and they aren't finished signing deals with this Eurofighter yet. Within the next few months, they are supposed to sign another (approx.)10 billion in U.S. dollars(the figures look about half which makes sense at $20 billion in DMarks) for this thing. The engine mounts I'm sure are titanium. The landing gear is most likely all titanium. The armour (which is probably able to take up to a half inch round at least, maybey 20 mm). This thing is probably made up of 1/3rd titanium!
I'm sure you saw the defence (message #6) bill by now. 30 f-18's 2-F-22's bla,bla,bla...
This Boeing news is the best yet. One of the things that really hurt RMI when the decline in the industry hit during the early 90's when we fell into recession (aside from being so heavily dependent on the aerospace industry) was that Boeing had workers who did the milling of the billit that RMI was doing. Now, with this agreement at least, if there is a slowdown (yea right) Boeing guarantee's work to RMI. Anyway, There is alot going on right now and I'm sure there will be alot to talk about in the future.
To answer your question about production capability. They simply sub out the work.

Talk to you soon,

Harry
