Some things never change I find it amazing how little has been changed well over a century.
IMHO this is a very basic human problem to give "self-importance" for no real reason, it happens everywhere in various forms, and covers up failures and stupidity.
May take from the video it is clear that the "bigger the baboon" shadow is, so grows the showoff and the more aggressive he gets.
Unfortunate the the Varangian Rurik dynasty is still alive over so many generations, or over 1100 years.
