As far as I can see, you're complaints about Trump are no different from Bentway's, Koans, or the rest.

It is bizarre.

Nothing bizarre about it. The whole continuum from far left through moderate right was anti-Trump.

There are no Democrats who are moderate.

You have no sense of perspective. You don't know where the center is. You think that it's one inch left of you.

I'm not sure where you think this radical agenda is taking you but I don't believe you're a stupid person. You must know where it is taking the country.

I'm not any more fond of the radical agenda than you are. I just have retained a perspective on where that is.

Throughout my voting life this country has operated between the forty yard lines. There have always been those on both sides who have been way out there and loud about it. When one is not attached to a party and makes an individualized decision each presidential election, as have I, and if one has some ability to assess risk, as have I, one doesn't rule out the side with those who want to go scary places if they don't have the wherewithal to make it happen. For example, just because a lot of lefties talk single payer, they don't have the wherewithal now to make that happen. They have neither the polling nor the congress.

I once had a boss who regularly made an observation about performance evaluation, that is, we judge ourselves by what we believe we can do and others by what they have shown themselves capable of doing--different standards. Consider that you judge the democrats as scary because they want to do what you consider to be horrible. But if they can't pull it off, why be so scared? You are scared of bogeymen. They may get closer to their own forty but they don't have the wherewithal to cross it. Their forty may not be your cup of tea but it's not the end zone.

As for the middle, bear in mind that what the D's are into now was palatable to the GOP just a couple of decades ago. Remember, PPACA was based on Romney's program and most of what is being discussed with regard to gun control is acceptable to majorities of NRA members.

A sense of proportion is a healthy thing.
