I am enjoying this, its like they think that Synthetic Graphene is new? :)

In 2014 Applied Graphene Materials was producing a Tonne of Graphene by using the CVD method and expected to reach 24 Tonnes per year within a year after that.

I have mentioned before, being able to produce Graphene is not a huge achievement. Even producing GOOD to Great Graphene is not difficult and it does not require a mine to do it.

ZENs big claim to fame is they can exfoliate faster than others. That will not be an issue when producing a lot of Grahene from various sources.

The author above snears at producing Graphene from Garbage? Burnt Garbage produces Carbon, and you can extract Graphene from Carbon. Carbon does not "remember" what its source was once broken down to Single layer or even Multi Layer.

It is why I am on the short side of this trade. BioTechs that actually believe they are special when they are not , get killed.
