Glenn: The commissions are 6 cents/share under 1,000 shares. However, if I trade the 1,000 shares during the day at the same price in several trades ( ie 5oo shares @31; 300 shares @ 31; 200 shares @ 31) it is treated as a single trade and there is no commission.
