On the 31st, Hyundai Mobis, a component company of the Hyundai Motor Group, unveiled the future autonomous mobility concept car'Mvision X'for the first time in the world. It also announced a mid- to long-term strategy to transform the corporate business model.
On this day, Hyundai Mobis held a'strategy and new technology presentation conference' at the Yongin R&D Center in Gyeonggi-do and introduced the urban-sharing concept car'Mvision X'and the compact electric car'Mvision Pop'. The transparent glass window surrounding the interior of the Mvision X 360 degrees transforms into a display that allows you to view images while driving. Watching a sports game or performance in a car gives you a vivid feeling as if you are in the middle of the field. Various images can be viewed simultaneously for each vehicle window. If you want to see the outside scenery, you can switch back to the transparent glass window. It also has a technology that disinfects the vehicle by itself when passengers get off.

For this, Hyundai Mobis decided to further strengthen autonomous driving cooperation with Velodyne, an American Lida manufacturer, and Yandex, a Russian IT company. It is collaborating with Velodyne to mass-produce the lidar system for Level 3 driving cars, and to develop Level 4 robotic taxis with Yandex. Hyundai Mobis will also expand such future vehicle R&D investment from KRW 1 trillion per year to KRW 1.7 trillion in 2025. In particular, the proportion of R&D expenditures for prior art will increase from the current 14% level to 30% after 4 years.
