Is it called DEMOCRACY when EVERYONE votes?

I get i-node's point that he doesn't want everybody to vote. I don't want everybody to vote, either. I don't want people who aren't paying attention to the issues and thoughtful about them to vote. But, unlike i-node, I want them to responsively choose not to vote, to choose not to cancel out the vote of someone whose vote is more apt.

They can do it with the utterly stupid notion that the country is well served if EVERYONE votes, an intuitive bad idea that ought not be embraced.

I-node wants to disallow people's votes, votes of unknown quality. He does not recognize people's right to vote. While the country may not be well served if everyone votes, it's much less well served if we deny the right to vote. That's fundamental in this country and must be defended absolutely. By making it unnecessarily difficult to vote he is denying their constitutional right to vote. That's unAmerican.
