Following is an update on our Gas Patch Business: UNITEC EXPANDS IN GAS PIPELINE SCADA
Unitec is pleased to announce receipt of its first SCADA order for Gas Pipeline Compressor Stations. This is a significant development for the Company. When installed, it will prove Unitec's products in gas transmission, completing its experience in all phases of the gas industry from collection through transmission to distribution. Unitec currently has installations in gas collection (well-head monitoring) and distribution.
This system will consist of a Host Computer using "Unitec Gold" graphical user interface to monitor two remote Compressor stations. Each compressor station will employ Unitec's fault tolerant UIC industrial controllers to monitor compressor equipment, generators and other station devices. One compressor station consists of a single compressor stage while the second station employs dual compressor engines. This system will also monitor 17 existing gas wells, with the capability of expanding to 60 future sites.
This is the second order received from RJV Gas Field Services Ltd., who recently commissioned Unitec's Well-Head Monitoring SCADA System for a major Alberta gas producer. This new order increases Unitec's exposure in this growing market and will enhance the Company's ability to win new business there.
Unitec is presently bidding on additional Gas SCADA systems in North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia for collection, transmission and distribution applications.
Unitec is an emerging growth company specializing in advanced technology telemetry, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and environmental monitoring equipment for the water, electricity, oil & gas and transportation sectors.
