saw 80B for rails, and am figuring that the number is missing a zero, or that one needs to put in a decimal in front of the 8, and replace the B with a T, or that USA is reckoning to just do an intra-city rail for NYC

wonder which consulting companies are going to take in the big-bite share of feasibility-study fees, and which others the lobbying budget

I searched on " california high-speed rail " as comparative, and am guessing that some set of folks are joking even as other sets do not cotton on to the issues at hand on the rail

why such timid moves? this is not the America I know.

seriously, best to make the entire infrastructure budget-spend 30T as opposed to 2T

President Biden’s infrastructure plan calls for an unprecedented boost in federal aid to the nation’s passenger rail system, seeking to address Amtrak’s repair backlog, extend service to more cities and modernize the network in the Northeast Corridor.

The American Jobs Plan announced Wednesday calls for $80 billion for rail — money that could be crucial in taking passenger service to cities such as Las Vegas and Nashville, and expand operations across large metropolitan areas such as Atlanta and Houston.
