I am old enough that we had an ice box, not a refrigerator and the ice man came around once a week with a big block of ice. And the guy up the street had a car with a rumble seat-lol.

And the milk was delivered to our front porch with cream at the top.

And my mom had a roller washing machine and she dried the cloths on a cloths line; and we had NO TV-lol!

I listened to the radio: Bobby Benson and the BRB ranch , Red Rider and Hopalong Cassidy, and Inner Sanctum (my favorite), Sam Spade and the Green Hornet.

When the first TV on the block showed up we all went to watch it. Like in a third world country-lol. I remember the first programs were Fritz the Cat and Kukkla Fran and Ollie,, Crusader Rabbit and Time for Beany-lol.

When in college I had an honors class and wrote the first analysis of variance, using a pseudo four dimensional array, IN fortran (punch cards was our computer) -lol.

And I fought conservative ideology since i was nine and protested the YMCA hitting people for no reason at the beautiful Eel River summer camp in California.

I had done nothing wrong and refused to let them hit me for TRADITION. They brought in a pastor to counsel me-lol.

Then when I taught grade school they wanted me to swat kids and I refused and they brought in a mediator. I was not going to hit kids!! I never hit my kids.

They used to do shit like that-lol..
