The good news and the bad news.

The bad is all graphene masks made by anyone cannot be sold in Canada until more data is collected according to HC. Equally as bad, is the data they will want is not available from ZEN or TREBOR because the data that would be wanted would not have been part of the "tests" ZEN/TREBOR passed in the earlier tests.

The good news is HC has requested data from 2 manufacturers already. So assuming one is the ZEN/TREBOR collaboration at least the 2 know what is required by HC and can start organizing the tests.

The bad news is HC will be gun shy and will take much longer than normal now to just approve any Graphene/GO mask. I quote:

Health Canada said its “preliminary assessment” found that graphene particles had “some potential to cause early lung toxicity in animals.”

Health Canada said it will complete a “thorough scientific assessment” to establish the safety and effectiveness of face masks containing graphene.

Canada’s provinces and territories have also been notified and were advised to stop the distribution of graphene masks in their region.

“The department will continue to take appropriate action to stop the import and sale of graphene face masks,” Health Canada said.
